# Hero Section Layout

<mark style="color:purple;">**Spotlight**</mark> supports customizing **Hero Section Layout** in your publication Hero section on the homepage. You have **5 settings** to choose from:

1. **Only text**
2. **Image on the right (default)**
3. **Slider on the right**
4. **Bottom slider**
5. **Featured posts**
6. **Without hero section**

## **To customize:**

* Go to **Settings > Design & branding** from the admin menu
* Click **Homepage** in the **Design** settings sidebar on the right
* Click and select your preferred setting in the **Hero section layout** menu item

### Only text

With this setting, you'll have only **Hero Section Text,** which you can [**customize**](https://highfivethemes.gitbook.io/spotlight-user-documentation/custom-settings/hero-section-text), inside your publication's hero section.

### Image on the right

With this setting, you'll have a **Publication cover** image (that you can set up in **Brand** settings) inside your publication's hero section.

### **Slider on the right**

With this setting, you'll have 2 infinite looped slideshows of your posts' feature images inside your publication's hero section.

**We strongly recommend using this setting only if your publication has more than 20 posts with feature images, because of the slider's working logic.**

### **Bottom slider**

With this setting, you'll have an infinite looped slideshow at the bottom of your publication's hero section.

### **Featured posts**

This setting will set the last 4 featured posts inside your publication's hero section.

### **Without hero section**

This setting will exclude hero section from your publication homepage.
