# Categories Page

<mark style="color:purple;">**Spotlight**</mark> has a template for the **Categories page**, which shows all of the categories (tags) of your publication. A categories page is not required, but you can add it if you want.

### To create the Categories **page:**

1. Go to **Pages** from the admin menu
2. Click the **New page** button in the top right corner
3. Add a **title** (e.g. 'Categories').
4. Add a **small description text** for this page
5. Click <img src="/files/wcdanhsHtNPoZNsN1RPx" alt="" data-size="line"> icon in the top right corner to open the **Page settings**
6. <mark style="color:red;">**Check**</mark> that the **Page URL** text input value is **`categories`!**
7. Click the **Template** selector and choose the **Categories** option
8. Click **Publish**
